Next Generation Jammer Pod
Beginning in the early 2000’s, aerospace technology developers initiated work on the next generation of tactical jamming technologies which would meet a wide array of mission requirements.
The Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) emerged as a joint effort which could satisfy mission requirements across a variety of aircraft types, environments and electronic warfare targets.
Early Stage Planning
The NGJ project was in its infancy planning stage during my time with ITT Corporation, and thoughtful requirements harmonization was absolutely critical.
I leveraged existing wireless technology knowledge and experience along with access to legacy electronic warfare systems at ITT to define project scope and requirements. My inputs to scope, scheduling and capabilities were used to provide updates to US Army and Navy project managers, and helped to lay the groundwork for what has since been nearly a decade of jamming technology development and demonstration.
